Male Underwear Model Requirements

Disclaimer: This article discusses requirements for Underwear Models. However, these are not our requirements. This site does not want you to pose for us. We have no modeling jobs or opportunities to offer you. We do not submit you to photographers or underwear brands. We do not want to photograph you. Please do not send us photographs of yourself.

If you are searching for male underwear requirements, you are likely seeking to know the physical requirements - height and weight - in order to become a male underwear model. If this is the case, be sure to read our advice on how to become a male underwear model. But, let's discuss requirements:

There is good news, but it comes with a catch. While underwear brands and photographers might have individual tastes regarding body shape, which is often governed by height, there is no industry-wide standard covering height and weight for male underwear models.

There may be an exception for a brand that needs you to pose in a sample of a not-yet-manufactured pair of briefs is only available in one size. Other industries call this a "prototype." However, prototypes are not as much of an issue when modeling underwear.

However, there is a catch. Just because your height does not disqualify you, does not mean its easy to land a job with an underwear manufacturer. Additionally, there are performance requirements which we discuss in our How to Become a Male Underwear model tip.

While there may not be physical requirements, you still need incredible abs and a worked out body with a lot of musculature to succeed. Regardless of your height, you will need to develop a male underwear model's body. Read our suggested underwear model workout to know the challenges and demands of such a program. Building and maintaining a marketable body is not easy.

Being 5 foot 7 or 5 foot 8 will not disqualify you, provided you have a proportional, muscular body. For example, wrestlers who typically would not qualify for high fashion modeling because of their height, can make great male underwear models due to their highly muscular, stocky bodies - especially their thick legs - which wrestlers usually have. Tall guys often have trouble building their legs and tend to be more slender. This does not disqualify them for underwear modeling, because its all about how you appear in film for underwear modeling.
